Astros +1.5 (-200)
Dodgers -1.5 (+175)
Vegas is begging you to bet the Dodgers. And they’ll probably clean up off the half run hook when the Dodgers win by a run on a walk off single. Oh well, I’m not betting $200 to win $100 and I’m pulling for LA anyway so taking the Dodgers -1.5.
Run Total Over/Under: 7.5
Verlander has been lights out since joining the Astros which points towards the under. That said, I wouldn’t touch this bet if I was wearing a Hazmat suit and wielding an extremely long version of the claw thing pictured below.
Total Game Runs + Hits + Errors: Over/Under 25
Game Five hit 25 on runs alone. I don’t expect another 11 inning 13-12 game but the way these guys have been hitting the ball, as unstable as both bullpens have been, and as crazy as the series has been overall, F it, let’s go over.
PICK: OVER 25
Total bases: Jose Altuve (-130) vs Justin Turner (Even)
Turner has only faced Verlander 3 times and he is 0-3. Altuve is a career 1-5 vs. Rich Hill which doesn’t mean all that much but is better. He’s hitting .334 in the playoffs, has both speed and power, and I’d usually bet on a guy vs. Hill rather than the guy vs. Verlander. Going the opposite direction just because though.
PICK: Justin Turner
Total Hits + Runs + RBI’s
Yuli Gurriel: O/U 1.5 – OVER
Jose Altuve: O/U 2.5 – OVER
Carlos Correa: O/U 2 – OVER
Yasiel Puig: O/U 2 – OVER
George Springer: O/U 2 – UNDER
Cody Bellinger: O/U 2 – OVER
Yea… So hoping for a lot of hits and runs. Fingers crossed that Game 6 somewhat resembles Game 5 for my wallet and my Tuesday night’s sake.
